Die-sinking EDM
Die-sinking EDM Process
Die-sinking EDM, or sinking EDM, is a manufacturing process for shaping and forming metal parts with high precision.
This process has the objective of giving the metal component being worked on, the complementary shape of the electrode. This requires always having an electrode of a specific shape available to obtain the shape you need. It involves the use of electrical discharges, which materialize as sparks, to remove material from a workpiece. In addition to carrying out the required processing on molds, dies, punches, stamps, matrices, etc., electro erosion allows the removal of tips or taps accidentally broken in holes or figures during processing by the customer.
DEVALLE Sas was one of the first companies to use this type of technology. The extensive experience gained in this field allows the company to advise the customer and find solutions to any problems that cannot be solved with milling or other metal removal techniques.
